All our products are made in our factory in India. We start with organic & Fair Trade certified raw materials and transform them into fine textiles. We over 50 years' textile experience, we are involved in every stage of production from raw materials for thread to the finished product.
At Nilaa, we reimagine the traditionally opaque retail supply chain by connecting consumers directly to craftsmen. We produce all our products in our own facility, and are involved in each process starting from the yarns to the finished product. By going direct-to-consumer, we offer affordable, luxury bedding and bath collections that realize wins for the customer, the worker, the business, and the planet.
The environmental aspects of organic cotton are outstanding! It requires less water to grow, no harsh chemicals or pesticides are used resulting in no contamination to the waterways or soil, that is essential to the health of the local communities. Our cotton materials adhere to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), which is internationally recognized.
Our business philosophy is centered on respect for social, economic, and labor rights along the entire supply chain. We advance sustainable farming and manufacturing practices, and give back to our makers with fair wages and benefits. Fair Trade certification means that the farmers and workers engaged in the production of our products are paid a living wage, ensuring just opportunity and advancement.
We go beyond product, using eco-friendly buttons, plastic-free packaging, and clean manufacturing processes, because we believe that small details make an ocean of difference to the planet. The outer poly-shipper that protects your order in transit is the only plastic packaging that we use, and we have removed all other plastics or other non-biodegradable materials in our packaging.
Both our Percale & Sateen sheets are woven to a 400 thread count, using super-fine 80’s threads that are spun with extra-long staple cotton, that is certified both Organic & Fair Trade.
Our fitted sheets have a 17” deep pocket, that has an elastic band that is sewn all around the edge ensuring a snug fit and offering some flexibility.
All our fabrics are treated with gentle approved chemicals as per the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). Yes, our sheets will wrinkle during the initial couple of washes, and will get better as they age. A small price to pay for clean green fabrics and in doing our part for a better planet.
Our products are made slightly oversized to allow for some natural shrinkage that occurs during the initial wash. Our production process do not use any harsh or dangerous chemicals due to our philosophy of restoring & realizing a better planet and using less water & energy. Your sheets & duvets might be slightly loose initially but will have the perfect fit & feel after a few washes.

All of our products are made-to-order, but we do not offer additional personalization (custom embroidery, monogramming, etc) at this time.
Of course! During checkout, you can type your special message in the order comments box with instructions. We will ensure that your note is beautifully written and enclosed with the order in an envelope.

To cancel an order please contact Customer Support at email@example.com within a hour of placing the order, as we try to ship orders as soon as we get them. If we are unable to cancel an order, you can make an easy return by using our return portal once you receive your order to make a hassle free return.
We do not offer any international shipping at this point in time. Shipping is limited to the USA.
Returns & Exchanges
We always aim for make sure our customers love our products, but if you do need to return an order, we’re happy to help. Just email us directly and we’ll take you through the process.
We stand behind the quality of our products! You can return an item within 30 days from the date of delivery and get a full refund, in the original payment form. Once the return is received in our warehouse please allow us 5 - 8 business days to process the return and make the refund. Our customer support team will send you the necessary UPS return label for you when you want to return an item.
We do not allow any exchanges to orders once placed. You can simply return an item and place a new order for the item of your choosing.
No we do not charge any return charges when you return an item.
Steps to return any item after purchase:
Click on “Returns & Exchanges” at the bottom of the page at nilla.com Follow on screen instruction to enter your order details. Wait for an email with UPS shipping label. Repack your items and packing list in original packaging as best as possible. Drop it off at the nearest UPS drop box
It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take 5-7 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
